Participating in the Aeromodelling competition sponsored by Boeing at IIT Kharagpur's techfest "Kshitij 2023," our team, led by me as the captain, achieved a commendable position in the top 10. The competition comprised two rigorous rounds: the Qualifier Round and the Main Round. 

In the Qualifier Round, teams had to demonstrate their aircraft's payload-carrying capabilities and safe flight operations. Only the top 30 teams advanced to the Main Round, receiving reimbursement towards material costs. 

The Main Round focused on payload delivery and return, adhering to strict guidelines and design constraints set forth by the competition organizers. Our participation showcased not only our engineering prowess but also our ability to innovate and execute under pressure.

Our team, consisting of three dedicated members - myself, Aashish Aathavale, and Raunak Dhargave, approached the Aeromodelling competition with a shared passion for aviation and engineering excellence. Together, we combined our diverse skills and expertise to tackle the challenges presented by the competition, demonstrating strong teamwork, innovation, and perseverance.

The competition consisted of two demanding missions: the Qualifier Round and the Main Round, each presenting distinct challenges and objectives. Teams had to design and fabricate RC aircraft that met stringent design constraints, including weight limitations, propulsion specifications, and size restrictions. Additionally, participants were required to adhere to rules prohibiting the use of certain technologies and programming assistance, emphasizing the importance of ingenuity and hands-on craftsmanship in achieving success.

Our aircraft, meticulously crafted to meet competition specifications, showcased innovative design elements and meticulous attention to detail. With a maximum weight of 1 kg (excluding payload) and a wingspan of 1.2 meters, our aircraft boasted optimal thrust-to-weight ratio and efficient payload carrying capacity. Equipped with electric motors and precision-engineered components, our aircraft demonstrated exceptional performance and reliability throughout the competition. Each aspect of its design and construction was carefully optimized to ensure compliance with competition guidelines while maximizing flight performance and payload delivery capabilities.
