My Role
My internship as a CFD intern at WaterUnit Infrastructure Consultancy LLP has been an enriching journey. I gained valuable experience in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) through the utilization of OpenFOAM. By completing responsibilities specific to my position, I gained a comprehensive understanding of fluid dynamics, including turbulence, boundary layers, and flow behavior around structures.
I learned to navigate the complexities of OpenFOAM, a powerful CFD software. The internship began with fundamental simulations, gradually advancing to dynamic mesh cases, hump simulations, and specified water treatment plant geometry analyses. Each task built upon the knowledge acquired, enabling me to handle diverse fluid flow scenarios.
I played a important role in the CFD Analysis for the 454MLD Malad MCGM WWTF project. This experience enhanced my skills in mesh generation, solver configuration, and post-processing, adding valuable expertise to my engineering repertoire.
I honed my communication skills, effectively conveying results and troubleshooting issues. My internship equipped me with practical skills in geometry preparation, mesh generation, solver configuration, and post-processing. This experience as a CFD intern has been an essential stepping stone toward realizing my aspiration of becoming a proficient CFD engineer, armed with the expertise to contribute effectively to fluid dynamics simulations in the real world.
